Bandipora : In light of the approaching winter season, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bandipora, Manzoor Ahmad Qadri on Tuesday undertook onsite inspection of snow clearance Control room Bandipora and took stock of availability of men and machinery.
Nodal officer for Snow clearance, Tanveer Ahmad apprised that 27 Snow clearance machines are in ready mode to clear the roads.
The DC directed the concerned from different departments to ensure timely arrangements on the ground for the convenience of the general public across the district.
During the inspection of the snow clearance strategy for urban and rural roads, the DC urged officers to establish new standards for preparedness including increasing machinery deployment and fully mobilizing available resources.
The DC directed the concerned to conduct regular dry run of all machines involved in snow clearance process and make sure Snow clearance control room is operational by 15th of November.
He also issued guidelines to maintain prompt action and ensure zero response time in case of exigencies and impressed upon concerned to ensure functioning of Helpline numbers.
The DC was accompanied by Chief Planning Officer Bandipora, Mohammad Maqbool lone, Nodal officer for Snow clearance and other concerned.
