Kishtwar : District Development Commissioner (DC) Kishtwar, Rajesh Kumar Shavan, chaired the DLRC meeting to review the progress of the Banks and line departments during the quarter ending June 2024.
The meeting primarily focused on assessing the implementation of financial inclusion programs and other developmental initiatives in the district.
The DC sought improvement in the CD ratio, hassle-free loan provisions, inter-departmental cooperation, and stronger coordination among various stakeholders to ensure that the district’s financial and developmental goals are met effectively.
The meeting reviewed the achievements and targets of banking sectors, credit flow under government schemes, and the progress of financial literacy programs across the district. Key areas discussed included the implementation of schemes such as the progress of self-help groups under NRLM, performance of RSETI and various others.
The Deputy Commissioner also directed banks to enhance loan disbursement to priority sectors, including agriculture, small businesses and women entrepreneurs. The Officer further asked the Banks to organise awareness Camps for financial literacy in coordination with line departments.
The DC advised officials to take proactive measures in addressing any bottlenecks in the execution of projects, ensuring the timely and effective implementation of development schemes in Kishtwar.
The meeting concluded with a renewed commitment to accelerating progress in the district and fostering a more inclusive approach to financial empowerment and development.
The meeting was attended by CPO Shahnawaz Bali, LDM Kishtwar, LDO RBI, DDM NABARD, ALC Kishtwar, CAO Kishtwar, CHO Kishtwar, and officers from line departments and banks.
