Poonch: Shaheed Dy. SP Manjit Singh Memorial Volleyball Club on Saturday organised a Volleyball Match in the memory of Police Martyrs, here in the College Ground Poonch.
Deputy Commissioner PoonchVikasKundal was the chief guest on the occasion. He distributed sports kits and volleyballs among the budding players of the Shaheed Dy. SP Manjit Singh Memorial Volleyball Club and paid tributes to the Martyrs.
In his address to the young players, the DDC highlighted that Sports and physical activities in combination with other factors promote healthy lifestyle, team spirit and overall personality development.
He appreciated the efforts of Chairman Shaheed Dy. SP Manjit Singh Memorial Volleyball Club Mohammad Tariq and urged youth to take part in sports and take inspiration from the likes of Saqlain Tariq, an international Volleyball Player of the District.
ADC Mustafa Malik; Dy. SP Ejaz Ahmad; senior Volleyball Player KrishanLal Sharma, Davinder Singh, Mitenderpal Singh, Shabbir Ahmed and Ikhlaq Ahmed were present on the occasion.
