Srinagar: Police on Thursday said that it has recovered an abducted woman and arrested the accused involved in the commission of crime here on Thursday.
In a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters Srinagar Police said that on 13th October Police Post Kalaroos received a written complaint about the abduction of the daughter of a person (name withheld). The Police Statement reads “ The complainant alleged that the victim was missing from 12th October and a case FIR No. 245/2024 under relevant sections of law was registered atPolice Station Kupwara and investigation was set into motion”.
Stating that investigation led to clues about the kidnapping of the victim by one Fazal u Rehman War S/o Abdul Haq War R/o Doniwari Dangiwah, Rafiabad, Police in its statement further said that the victim was recovered from the possession of the accused who was arrested on the spot. Police in its statement furthermore said that after completion of all medico-legal norms, the victim was handed over to her legal heirs, adding therein that further investigation into the matter is underway.
In the concluding para of its above quoted statement Police appealed people to cooperate with it in curbing social crimes in their neighbourhood, reiterating therein its commitment to curb social crimes.
