Jammu : Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Jammu under the leadership of Prof. B.S. Sahay, Director, IIM Jammu recently hosted school visits for students from three distinguished schools: PM Shri School JawaharNavodayaVidyalaya (JNV), Gharota, Jammu, Shaheed HAV Neelam Singh Govt. High School, Devipur, Akhnoor, and Govt. Higher Secondary School, Pargwal. The visits were part of IIM Jammu’s ongoing commitment to engaging with the local community and inspiring young minds towards higher education and leadership. According to a statement issued from Public Relations Office IIM Jammu the students from PM Shri School JawaharNavodayaVidyalaya, Gharota, Jammu, comprising 40 students, were accompanied by ShriVinay Kumar, Teacher, and Ms. Harshi, Teacher. The group from Shaheed HAV Neelam Singh Govt. High School, Devipur, included 52 students and was led by Shri Rahul Podwal, Teacher, along with ShriTarsem Sharma, Ms. Aatika Sharma, and Ms.InduBharati. The visit from Govt. Higher Secondary School, Pargwal, included 48 students, accompanied by ShriNiklashBhat and ShriSurinder Kumar.
During their visit, the students were given an insightful tour of IIM Jammu’s world-class facilities, including the Nalanda Library, state-of-the-art classrooms, and other learning spaces. They were also given an overview into the IIM system. The initiative aims to expose students to the opportunities available in premier educational institutions like IIM Jammu and encourage them to pursue their academic aspirations with determination.
The students and teachers expressed their gratitude for the warm welcome and enriching experience at IIM Jammu. The interaction with the IIM Jammu fraternity and the exposure to an academic environment left a lasting impression on the young visitors.IIM Jammu continues to play a pivotal role in promoting educational excellence and outreach in the region, aligning with its mission of creating future leaders and change-makers.
