Srinagar, Oct 08: National Conference vice president Omar Abdullah traveled to Budgam to express his gratitude to the local electorate for his electoral success.
Speaking to the media, he stated, “I want to thank the people of Budgam and all across Kashmir who believe in the National Conference. Our priority now is to fulfill the expectations of the people in J&K.”
As per the data shared by the Election Commission so far, the NC is ahead in 41 seats, and its ally Congress is ahead in six assembly segments. This takes their coalition’s tally to 47 out of the 90 contested seats.
Earlier, Omar Abdullah won the Budgam assembly seat in Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday, defeating the PDP’s Aga Syed Muntazir Mehdi by a margin of more than 18,000 votes
