Jammu: Jammu Police on Monday said that it has foild a bovine smuggling attempt by rescuing 32 bovines and seizing a vehicle used in the commission of crime in Police Sub Division Nagrota.
In a statement issued from District Police Headquarters Jammu Police said that a team of Police Post Sidhra foiled one bovine smuggling attempt in which 32 bovines were rescued from a vehicle bearing registration number No. JK02CE/3344 at Naka Tawi Bridge, stating therein further that driver of the vehicle fled away from the spot after leaving behind the vehicle on the road.
Stating that 32 bovines were rescued and vehicle used for committing the crime was also seized, Police in its statement further said that a case under FIR No. 266/2024 U/S 223/BNS 11 PCA Act was registered at Police Station Nagrota and further investigation is underway.
