Jammu: The Jammu Police on Tuesday apprehended a bootlegger and recovered a substantial quantity of liquor in the Narwal area of Subdivision East, South Zone.
In a statement issued from District Police Headquarters Jammu Police said that the accused, Shami, son of Dhara, a resident of Rajeev Nagar, was caught by a police team from PP Narwal (PS Bahu Fort) [1).
Stating that the seized liquor includes: 30 quarters (180ml) of JK Special whisky, 10 quarters (250ml) of JK Special whisky, & 8 quarters (180ml) of Royal Stag, the Police in its above referred statement further said that this successful operation led to the registration of an FIR under relevant sections of law at Police Station Bahu Fort, with further investigation currently underway.
