Srinagar: In an event marked by respect and admiration, the Jammu and Kashmir Teachers Joint Action Committee (JKTJAC) felicitated its former Chairman and senior trade union leader, Gazi Abdul Aziz, on the occasion of his retirement. Gazi Abdul Aziz, known for his unwavering dedication as a teacher and a steadfast trade union leader, retired after the completion of his service that significantly benefited the teaching fraternity across Jammu and Kashmir.
Under his able leadership, thousands of teachers, especially Rehbar-e-Taleem teachers, saw their issues resolved, with numerous initiatives undertaken to improve their working conditions and rights. Gazi Abdul Aziz was instrumental in bridging the gap between his professional responsibilities as a teacher and his leadership role in the union, earning widespread respect among educators and colleagues alike. The felicitation ceremony was attended by Director of School Education Kashmir (DSEK), who commended Gazi Abdul Aziz for his exemplary leadership and contributions both as a teacher and as a union leader. The Director lauded him as a role model for educators across the region.
During the event, JKTJAC Chairman Saleem Sagar offered Gazi Abdul Aziz a shawl as a token of appreciation, symbolizing his immense contributions to the teaching community. Other leaders presented him with flower bouquets and garlands, expressing their gratitude and admiration for his relentless efforts in securing the rights of teachers. The entire JKTJAC extended their heartfelt thanks to Gazi Abdul Aziz for his commitment, leadership, and dedication to the teaching profession, wishing him a prosperous and fulfilling life ahead post-retirement.
