Srinagar, Sep 28: Braving relentless rain, thousands of enthusiastic supporters gathered early at Maulana Azad Stadium (M A Stadium) in Jammu today, waiting for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s arrival.
One supporter, sharing her excitement, said, “We have come to listen to Modi ji. We want BJP candidates to win not only in Jammu but even in Kashmir. We have a lot of hope with the BJP—they have done good work in the last 10 years, and we are hopeful they will continue.”
The event is being held amid heightened security, with the stadium and surrounding areas sealed off. Security forces have taken control of the venue to ensure safety during the VVIP visit, as several top BJP leaders are also present.
“There’s a lot of excitement among the public, and we believe this rally will show our strength in Jammu,” a BJP worker said.
With over 12 lakh eligible voters in Jammu district, the BJP is banking on the rally to galvanize its base and secure key constituencies, including Jammu East, Nagrota, Bishnah, and R.S. Pura. The stakes are high as the party aims to retain its stronghold and extend its influence across both Jammu and Kashmir divisions.
