Jammu: Under Jammu Police’s “Operation Sanjeevani,” aimed at curbing drug-related activities, Miran Sahib Police Station arrested a notorious drug peddler and also seized nearly 2kg of ganja.
In a statement from District Police Headquarters Jammu Police said that the accused, Surinder Kumar @Kali, was caught with the substantial quantity of narcotics and his Maruti Car bearing registration number JK02AJ-6846 was also impounded, adding therein that the successful operation was the result of a targeted effort by Sub Division Police R.S.Pura to disrupt the flow of drugs in the area. Stating that authorities are now investigating the broader network of suppliers and distributors linked to Kumar, exploring all angles to ensure a thorough crackdown, Police in its statement appealed people to remain vigilant and report suspicious activities to help curb the growing menace. Police in the concluding para of its above quoted statement furth said that under the strategic leadership of SHO Police Station Miran Sahib, the police team executed the recovery operation flawlessly, adding therein that SDPO R.S.Pura and Superintendent of Police (SP) Hrs, Jammu, provided meticulous oversight throughout the process.”
