Jammu : In a significant breakthrough under Operation Sanjeevani, Jammu Police apprehended a lady drug peddler, Neelam Devi, from Bishnah area of Jammu District on September 20.
In a statement issued from District Police Headquarters Jammu Police said that a substantial quantity of 142 grams of ganja-like narcotics and ₹2.89 lakhs in cash were recovered from possession the possession of the above named accused, adding therein that the police team from Police Station Bishnah, led by Inspector Mustaj Choudhary, worked tirelessly under the supervision of SP HQ Jammu to crack the case. “This achievement marks a major step forward in curbing the drug trade in the area,” said the police in the above referred statement. Sharing case details, Police in its statement identified the accused as: Neelam Devi, wife of Tarseem Lal, resident of Dhindey Khurd, Bishnah and registered a case under FIR:_ No. 149/2024 under Section 8/20/27 NDPS. In the concluding para of its above quoted statement Police appealed people to remain vigilant and report suspicious activities promptly, adding therein that 25 grams of heroin have been recovered from an accused in the area under Police Station Bishnah’s jurisdiction.
