Jammu: In a swift and efficient operation, Jammu’s Police Station Bishnah has solved a theft case, arresting one accused person and recovering the stolen bike within just 48 hours.
In a statement issued from District Police Headquarters Jammu Police said that investigation of the case was started on September 18 when Surjan Singh reported the theft of his motorcycle, bearing registration number JK02BT-4058.
Stating that a special team, constituted by SHO Police Station Bishnah under the supervision of SDPO R.S. Pura and SP Hqr, Jammu, worked tirelessly to crack the case, Police in its statement further said that efforts of the special team paid off when it arrested Varun Kumar, who confessed his involvement in the commission of crime after sustained questioning. Police in its statement furthermore said that Kumar, a resident of Bhaga Morh, R.S.Pura, District Jammu, led police to the stolen bike, which has since been recovered,” adding therein that that a case under FIR No. 146/2024 was registered at Police Station, Bishnah and investigation was subsequently started to solve the theft case.
