Srinagar : Police on Thursday said that it has registered four (4) FIRS against cannabis cultivation Police in Ganderbal district.
In a statement issued here on Thuesday Police said that a special police team, led by the SHO Police Station Ganderbal, conducted an operation at Pati Shalbugh Gasi Mohla, where cannabis (Bhang) spread on approximately 12.5 Kanals was discovered, adding therein that during the operation, Cannabis (Bhang) cultivated on land belonging to 06 accused was destroyed in presence of First Class Magistrate Tulamulla.
Stating that the said accused were identified as Ab Khaliq, Ab Hamid, Ab Aziz, Mohd Sadiq, Muzaffar Ahmad, and Ashiq Ahmad all residents of Pati Shalbugh, Police in its statement further said that cases under relevant sections of law were registered at Police Station Ganderbal besides initiating further investigation, Police in its statement appealed people to co-operate with it and share information of such land owners to eliminate the drug menace in Kashmir.
