Assembly Elections-2024: B’pora Admin conducts Training for Election Officials

Bandipora : As part of preparations for the 2024 Assembly Elections, the District Administration Bandipora on Tuesday conducted a training program for presiding officers (POs) and polling Officer-1 (P1) at the Mini Secretariat Bandipora.
The training aimed to provide these officials with essential skills and knowledge for the smooth execution of the electoral process was divided into two sessions.
The first session for POs was led by DLMT, Mohammad Iqbal Samoon, and the second session for P1s was led by DLMT, Manzoor Ahmad Bhat.
The training programme covered various election-related topics, including the operation of Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) and other procedural aspects, to ensure that all poll staff are well-prepared for their roles and can facilitate a fair and efficient voting process on Election Day.
A significant component of the training was the hands-on training for handling Ballot Units, Control Units, and VVPATs. This practical training allowed officials to familiarize themselves with the equipment, addressing any technical questions and ensuring they are adept at managing these components during the election besides boosting confidence among the officials, ensuring smooth and accurate voting operations.
