Kathua : The electoral atmosphere in AC 67-Kathua (SC) is filled with excitement as the Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) program continues to inspire voter engagement ahead of the upcoming elections. A series of dynamic events have been successfully conducted across various Anganwadicenters in the constituency, aimed at ensuring every eligible voter is actively involved in the democratic process.
One of the key highlights was a collaborative event at HS Logate, where, under the guidance of Anita Pangotra, a teacher, students performed a powerful NukkadNatak (street play). The play, aimed at raising awareness about the importance of voting, was followed by a cultural program and impactful messages from students, stressing the role of voting in building a robust democracy. The event concluded with a signature campaign, symbolizing the community’s pledge to make AC 67-Kathua a leader in voter turnout.
Participants, including public representatives, local citizens, school staff, and students, solemnly took a voter pledge, reaffirming their commitment to ensuring the highest possible voter turnout in the forthcoming elections on October 1, 2024. This pledge emphasized the critical role of active voter participation in shaping the future of both the constituency and the nation.
Nodal Officer for SVEEP, AC 67-Kathua (SC), JatinderSethi, (Principal, GHSS Nagri Parole), along with prominent community leaders such as Bholi Singh, Raja Ram Singh, and VivekDubey, were present to motivate the public. They emphasized the importance of every vote in strengthening the democratic fabric of the constituency.
These events are part of the broader District SVEEP plan, meticulously developed by the District Election Office under the supervision of the Returning Officer for AC 67-Kathua (SC), VishavPartap Singh (ACR). The plan is designed to foster voter awareness and maximize participation in the electoral process through a strategic and well-coordinated approach.
