Jammu: In a crackdown on drug trafficking, Police Post Sarwal Jammu arrested three drug peddlers and seized 400 grams of charas, ₹30,000 in cash, and other incriminating items during a routine Nakka duty at Talli Morh.
Reports said that police intercepted a motorcycle and a scooty after the riders attempted to flee, raising suspicion. The suspects, identified as Pankaj Kumar, Aryaman Mahajan, and Amit Sharma, were found with charas, mobile phones, an Apple tablet, a hookah, and small packing pouches.
Reports further said that Jammu Police registered an FIR and launched an investigation to uncover the links in the case. “The arrest has brought relief to the local community, as the peddlers were endangering the lives of the youth,” reports said. In the concluding para of its above quoted statement Police said “ the Jammu Police reaffirms its commitment to eradicating drug-related crimes and protecting the future generation of Jammu”.
