Vibrant Rally to emphasize paramount importance of environmental protection held at Srinagar

Srinagar : The District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Srinagar, in collaboration with local NGO conducted a vibrant rally on Thursday from Primary Health Centre, Habbak Srinagar to emphasize the paramount importance of environmental protection.
The rally was held under the guidance of Jaffer Hussain Beg, Chairman DLSA Srinagar (PDJ, Srinagar), and under the supervision of Nusrat Ali Hakak, Secretary/Civil Judge, DLSA Srinagar.
The rally, flagged-off by the Secretary DLSA Srinagar, the chief guest for the event, witnessed enthusiastic participation from students of Crescent Public School and Bilaliya Public School.
The objective of the rally was to raise awareness among students and the broader community about the critical environmental issues facing our planet, such as pollution and deforestation. The aim was to empower young minds to become responsible citizens and advocate for a sustainable future.
Speaking at the event, the Secretary DLSA said, “we are committed to nurturing environmentally conscious citizens and this rally is a testament to our unwavering dedication to empowering the future generation to actively participate in safeguarding our environment.”
The rally served as a vibrant platform for raising awareness about the critical importance of environmental protection. It fostered a sense of responsibility among students and highlighted the need for collective action to address environmental challenges.
The rally culminated with a successful cleanliness drive at Duck Park, Srinagar, where students actively participated and engaged themselves in the cleanliness drive, showcasing their commitment to preserving the environment. This initiative highlights the vital role of education and community action in fostering environmental stewardship among the younger generation.
Among others, the event was attended by Shabbar Khan, Principal of Crescent Public School; Nisar Ahmed, Principal Bilaliya Public School; Dr. Touseef Ahmed, Chairman NGO; officials, Deputy Legal Aid Defence Counsel, from DLSA Srinagar, school staff, members, volunteers of NGO, Para Legal Volunteers of DLSA Srinagar coming together to send a powerful message about the urgency of environmental protection.
