Srinagar :Police on Thursday said that it along with Geology and Mining Department Kulgam have seized six vehicles (4 Tractors & 2 Tippers) & arrested 6 persons involved in extraction & transportation of minerals from river Vaishow and other Nallahs.
Stating that the police later accordingly registered the cases under relevant sections of law at Police Station Qaimoh and Police Station Devsar and further investigation have been initiated.
In the concluding para of the above quoted statement police appealed people to come forward or Dial-112 regarding any information about illegal extraction and transportation of minerals. Police also warns stringent action as per law against those whosoever found involved in such activities.
