Tral: Rafiq Ahmad Naik, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for the Tral assembly seat, held a series of election rallies in various areas, including Batagund, Midoora, Nanar, Gong, Gulshanpora, Pastuna, Takiya, and others, on Tuesday.
During the rallies, Naik addressed delegations of people and appealed to them to cast their votes in his favor. At Batagund, he assured the gathering that he would work tirelessly for the welfare of the people and would not engage in any corrupt practices. He also promised to listen to the grievances of the people directly, without any intermediaries.
Naik received a warm welcome from party workers and supporters at Syedabad Pastuna, where pro-party slogans and songs filled the air.
Pertinently, the Tral assembly seat has become a highly contested constituency, with nine candidates vying for the position. The main contenders include PDP’s Rafiq Ahmad Naik, NC-Congress Alliance candidate S.S. Channi, AIP candidate Dr. Harbaksh, and Independent Candidate Dr. Ghulam Nabi Bhat.
