Supplementary first Randomisation of Supplementary Ballot Units for 19-Habba Kadal AC conducted in Srinagar

Srinagar: In connection with General Elections to Legislative Assembly-2024, a Supplementary first Randomization of Supplementary Ballot Units for 19-HabbaKadal Assembly Constituency of Srinagar District was Tuesday conducted in accordance with the guidelines Election Commission of India(ECI) here at Meeting Hall of the DC Office Complex.
The Supplementary Randomization process was held under the supervision of District Election Officer(DEO), Srinagar, Dr. Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat in presence of representatives of the Political parties and Contesting Candidates.
The process of Supplementary Randomisation of Ballot Units was carried out through a dedicated Software and additional required number of Ballot Units were allocated for use during the upcoming Polls, as the number of Contesting Candidates in 19-Habbakadal Assembly segment are more than 16 Candidates.
On the occasion, 180 supplementary Ballot Units were selected randomly from the pool of available ballot units.
Prior to the supplementary Randomisation process, the DEO Srinagar briefed the representatives of the Political parties and Contesting Candidates about the Supplementary first Randomisation of Ballot Units ensuring their confidence in the uprightness of the process and encouraging that all requisite measures have been enacted to uphold the sanctity of the polls in free, fair and transparent manner as per the guidelines of Election Commission of India.
All the representatives of contesting candidates/political parties expressed their satisfaction over the entire randomisation process.
The entire process was video recorded as per ECI guidelines.
Returning Officer 21-Habakadal, Ghulam Jeelani Zargar, Deputy District Election Officer Srinagar, Mir Imtiyaz ul Aziz, Nodal Officer ETPBS, Syed Mujadid and other concerned Officials of District Election Authority Srinagar were also present on the occasion.
