Jammu: Under Operation Sanjeevani, the Jammu Police has successfully obtained confirmation for the attachment of property belonging to notorious drug peddler, Bobby Mehra, a resident of Toph Sherkhania, Jammu.
In a statement issued from District Police Headquarters Jammu Police said “Mehra, who has been a menace to society, was involved in multiple drug-related cases and is currently incarcerated in District Jail Kathua under the PIT NDPS Act. The Jammu Police, determined to eradicate drug abuse, had previously caught Mehra three times with narcotics/Chitta in his possession, registering cases against him”. In the concluding para of its above quoted statement Police said “the property attachment, confirmed under the NDPS Act/SAFEMA Act, marks a major success in the Jammu Police’s efforts to combat drug trafficking and save the young generation from its clutches”.
