J&K Assembly Polls: District Election Cell organises yoga session under SVEEP at Sports Stadium Udhampur

Udhampur: To encourage active participation in the upcoming Assembly Elections 2024, the District Election Cell under the overall supervision of District Election Officer SaloniRai, organized a Yoga session here Wednesday in Sports Stadium, Udhampur.
This initiative was part of the Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation campaign and aimed to highlight the significance of a higher voter turnout and strengthen the democratic process.
The Yoga session witnessed enthusiastic participation from diverse sections, including first-time voters, youth and prominent citizens.
Additional District Development Commissioner Rajinder Singh, Nodal Officer SVEEP, Dr. Preeti Sharma and other officers were also present.
While briefing the media, the ADDC highlighted the importance of the SVEEP campaign in raising awareness among the masses about their voting rights and duties. Citizens were encouraged to turn out in large numbers and exercise their right to vote responsibly in the forthcoming Assembly Elections 2024.
The session included various yoga Asanas, breathing exercises and meditation techniques that promote mental and physical well-being.
