Jammu: In a swift operation, Police Station RS Pura has solved a burglary case and recovered three stolen cattle.
In a statement issued from District Police Headquarters Jammu Police said that the case was registered on August 26after one Haji Mohd Bashir reported the theft of three goats from his cattle shed in Agra Chak, Tehsil R.S Pura.
Stating that a special team led by SHO Police Station R.S Pura and IC BPP Agra Chak was formed to investigate the case, Police in its statement further said that with technical assistance and local intelligence, the team apprehended the thief, Mohd Saleem, a resident of Beli Charaana, Jammu.
Police in its statement furthermore said that during questioning, Saleem confessed his involvement in the crime following which three stolen cattle were recovered.In the concluding para of its above quoted statement Police said that further investigation of the case is underway.
