Srinagar: Police on Tuesday said that it has attached property of two militant handlers operating from Pakistan, adding therein that the land, measuring 2 Kanals and 6 Marlas was owned by Asad Mir S/o Diya Mir, and Manzoor Ahmad Qureshi alias Mir S/o Abdul Rashid Qureshi, both residents of Jumgand, Kupwara.
In a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters Srinagar Police said that the attachment was carried out following the investigation of FIR No. 25/2023 of Police Station Trehgam and later through extensive intelligence gathering and meticulous investigation. Stating that the property was owned by the accused identified as per the investigation, Police in its statement further said that the property of these militant handlers was as such attached. Police in its statement furthermore said that both the militant handlers have been persistent threat to the peace and security of J&K.
In the concluding para of its above quoted statement police reaffirmed its commitment to combat militancy and disrupt the support structures that enables these nefarious activities, reiterating therein that the attachment of the property is a part of the ongoing efforts to choke the financial and logistical support for militant organizations and their enablers.
