Jammu: Jammu Police arrested three drug peddlers and recovered a substantial quantity of illegal substances in two separate cases under the ongoing “Operation SANJEEVANI” against drug menace.
In the first incident, police apprehended Manzoor Kazi, a resident of Kharian, Jammu, who was found with 3.88 grams of heroin-like substance at Javed Nagar, Nikki Tawi. A case was registered under FIR No. 127/24 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act at Police Station Nowabad.
In another similar incident, two individuals, Aman Radha and Rahul Bassan, were arrested at Kabir Colony Chowk, Talab Tillo, and found with 166 Diazepam injections and 120 Promethazine Hydrochloride injections. A case was registered under FIR No. 128/24 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act at Police Station Nowabad. A press release issued by the Police in Jammu reads “these arrests and recoveries deal a significant blow to the drug trade in Jammu. The Jammu Police remains committed to eradicating the drug menace and ensuring citizens’ safety and well-being”.
