Srinagar, Aug 22: A two-time MLA & former minister from south Kashmir’s Pulwama Syed Bashir Ahmad, former Principal & District Sessions Judge Mohammad Ashraf Malik and former Treasury Officer from central Kashmir’s Ganderbal Syed Jamaat Ali Shah on Thursday joined Peoples Democratic Party formally.
The party in its statement said that new entrants’ extensive experience and professional dedication will greatly contribute in party’s mission.
On former Principal & District Sessions Judge Mohammad Asraf Malik’s joining, the party said “We are pleased to announce him as our candidate for the Dooru assembly segment. His extensive legal experience and dedication to justice will greatly contribute to our mission for effective governance and development in Jammu & Kashmir”.
“His joining in the party brings valuable experience and strengthens our commitment to advancing Jammu & Kashmir. Besides he has also been declared as the JKPDP contesting candidate for Kangan (ST) seat,” party said on the joining of the former Treasury Officer of Ganderbal Syed Jamaat Ali Shah.
