Jammu : Under the guidance of IGP Traffic J&K, the Traffic Police City Jammu organised Mega Tiranga Motor Bike/Motor vehicle Rally as part of Independence Day celebrations to show a strong sense of National Pride and Unity.
The rally was flagged off by Anand Jain, ADGP Jammu Zone and was joined by DIG JKS Range and DIG Traffic Range Jammu.
Besides others present on the occasion were SSP Jammu, SSP Traffic City Jammu, SSP Traffic Rural Jammu, Addl. District Magistrate Jammu, Addl. SP Traffic City Jammu and other officers.
The other participants in the rally were the field officers viz. DTIs and other officials, enthusiastically participated in the rally on the motor bikes as well as the official vehicles creating an energetic and spirited atmosphere.
The rally which commenced from Police Auditorium Gulshan Ground Jammu was spearheaded by DIG Traffic Range Jammu and SSP Traffic Jammu which made its way through the heart of the Jammu city and culminated at Gulshan Ground Jammu.
During the Tiranga rally, awareness was also imparted to the general public regarding Traffic Rules and regulations by displaying placards viz. wearing Crash Helmet, Seat Belt, avoid Triple Riding, not to use Mobile Phone while driving, Overloading, and Wrong Parking etc.
DIG Traffic Range Jammu and SSP Traffic city Jammu expressed appreciation for the overwhelming participation and said that such events promote unity and patriotism among citizens.
He also advised the general public to follow traffic rules / regulations and also to adhere to the traffic restrictions on the eve of Independence Day function and pursue the ADVISORY issued by the traffic department to avoid inconvenience.
Govt. Polytechnic for Women Jammu organises Tiranga Rally
Jammu : Government Polytechnic for Women, Jammu under the supervision of Principal, Er. Suket Gupta on Wednesday organized cultural activities and Tiranga Rally under Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan.
Faculty members and students of the Institution took part in the event with great enthusiasm.
The Principal appreciated students for participating and demonstrating their patriotic spirit. The event was marked by a strong sense of national unity, with participants proudly waving the National Flag.
The cultural activities were also on the occasion. The participants were facilitated by giving them the certificates of participation in a function held Tuesday in the Conference Hall of this Institution.
76 Bn CRPF organises “Tiranga Rally” at Channi Himmat Jammu
Jammu : Under the “Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign, the 76 Bn CRPF Tuesday organised “Tiranga rally” in Channi Himmat, Jammu under the supervision of Vezoto Tinyi (Second-in-Command), Commandant 76 Bn. to invoke the sense of pride and nationalism.
The event was organised to inculcate the feeling of patriotism in the heart of the people and to promote the awareness about the Indian National Flag.
Officers and more than 200 Jawans of the unit actively participated to spread the spirit of patriotism, unity and respect to the National Flag.
Horticulture Directorate Jammu organises Tiranga Rally
Jammu : As a part of ongoing Independence Day Celebrations from 1st to 15th August to commemorate 78th Independence Day, the Department of Horticulture Jammu flagged off a Tiranga rally at Directorate of Horticulture complex.
The rally was flagged off by Director Horticulture Jammu, Chaman Lal Sharma in presence of Chief Horticulture Officer Jammu, Rakesh Kotwal and other staff members, saw enthusiastic participation from officers, officials and other staff members of the department.
Addressing the rally, the Director stressed the importance of national unity and national integration. He also said that such events instill a sense of patriotism, unity and create a sense of belongingness towards the nation.
Further, the Director said that the rally is an embodiment of our collective commitment to nation- building and creates a personal connection with the Tiranga.
The event also witnessed a plantation drive under the theme “Ek Ped Shaheedon Ke Naam” wherein different fruit plants were planted in the Horticulture Museum.
