Srinagar : Police initiated a plantation drive under the banner “Ek Ped Shaheedon Ke Naam in Anantnag and Ganderbal on Saturday.”
The drive was inaugurated at the District Police Headquarters Anantnag by SSP Anantnag Dr. G.V. Sundeep Chakravarthy, accompanied by SP Hqrs Anantnag Sajad Ahmad. Family members of the Police martyrs, along with other officers and officials of Anantnag Police were present on the occasion. A similar plantation drive took place at the District Police Lines Anantnag, under the supervision of DySP DAR DPL Anantnag. Following the plantation drive, an interaction was held with the families of the martyrs, reinforcing the commitment to commemorating the heroes while also promoting a greener and healthier environment.
Meanwhile in Ganderbal under the supervision of SDPO Kangan, a plantation drive was held at Govt Middle School Burnubugh and Panchayat Ghar Khanan in the loving memory of Martyr Ct. Farooq Ahmad, Martyr Foll. Muzaffar Ahmad and Martyr Ct. Ab Ahad Magray respectively. On the occasion, different saplings of plant species were planted in the premises of school and Panchayat-Ghar. SDPO Kangan, NOKs of Police Martyrs, other Police Officers, Officers of Sindh Forest Division Ganderbal and school students participated in the Drive with zest and zeal.
Kupwara Police organizes Painting Competition as part of I’Day celebrations 2024
Srinagar : District Police Kupwara organized a Painting Competition on Saturday at the District Police Lines (DPL) Kupwara.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students across the district, competing in various age categories, including Primary, Middle, High School, and Higher Secondary levels. The SSP Kupwara Shobith Saksena, was Chief Guest on the occasion and inaugurated the competition. In his address, SSP Kupwara said that the event has been held in celebration of Independence Day and recognizing the artistic talents among the district’s school children. He implored on the importance of providing young artists with a platform to express their creativity and showcase their artistic skills.
The competition, conducted with great zeal and fervor, concluded with a prize distribution ceremony. The young artists who secured the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd positions in the different categories were awarded trophies and cash prizes, encouraging them to continue honing their talents.
The event was also attended by Additional SP Kupwara Gh. Mohd Bhat, and Dy SP DAR Kupwara Syed Mujahid-ul-Haq along with other officers and officials of the district police.
