Theft case solved in B’gam, stolen property recovered: Police

Srinagar : Police on Friday said that it has solved a theft case by arresting an accused involved in the commission of crime in Budgam and recovering stolen propery from his possession.
In a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters Srinagar Police said that police Station Khansahib received a complaint from Ab Majeed Kumar S/o Ab Gani Kumar R/o Checksara Khanshaib to the effect that during the intervening night of 6th and 7th August some unknown persons entered into his shop situated at Check Shaira and took away some items and cash.
Stating that a case under FIR No. 142/2024 under relevant sections of law was registered at Police Station Khanshaib besides initiating further investigation, Police in the concluding para of its above quoted statement said that during the course of investigation, many suspects were questioned and during questioning, one Farooq Ahmed Ganie @DilJaley S/o Gh Ahmad Ganaie R/o Katchpuran admitted his involvement in the commission of crime and later upon his disclosure, stolen items, cash were recovered from his possession. Police in its statement also said the accused was arrested and shifted to police station.
