Poonch: Secretary, Planning Development and Monitoring department (PDMD), Mohammad Aijaz Asad, on Tuesday addressed a massive public darbar at KrishanChander park here.
The event witnessed massive response as people from all walks of life actively participated in the darbar and raised their issues and genuine grievances before the Secretary.
General public and their representatives holistically projected matters of urgent public importance pertaining to socio-economic infrastructure like connecting Bridges, Trauma Hospitals, Water Supply and Electricity during the darbar.
More specifically, the major issues pertained to completion of Mini-secretariat at both Poonch and Mendhar for ease of general public. Another issue related to Sawjain to Gulmarg Road also gained attention of Secretary.
Citizens also demanded a trauma hospital on Mughal road, increased allocation under NABARD projects, GMC for Poonch, women degree college at Poonch, protection work of BetarNalla bridge, completion of various lift schemes and other major issues of general importance.
Deputy Commissioner PoonchYasin M. Choudhary along with the team of district officers were present in the Darbar. All concerned district officers provided prompt reply to all grievances raised by citizens .
The Secretary also met DDC council. They also raised their specific demands and reiterated some demands already raised by general public.
The Secretary assured them that all of their genuine grievances will be addressed on priority.
