Srinagar : Police on Monday said that it has seized a total of 92 vehicles including 59 Tippers, 3 JCB and 10 LNT 20 tractors for their involvement in illegal extraction/ transportation of minerals in Budgam in July 2024.
In a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters Srinagar Police said that Budgam Police along with the Mineral Department also realised fine in lacs for illegal extraction/ transportation of minerals in the district.
In the concluding para of its above quoted statement reiterated its commitment to act tough against the violators and also appealed people to come forward with any information regarding illegal mineral-related activities in their neighbourhood.
