Srinagar : Under the theme, “Ek Paed Shahedoun Ke Naam” Police in Ganderbal alongwith Sindh Forest Division on Monday organised plantation drives in various Schools of the District.
In Sub-Division Kangan, the plantation drive was held under the supervision of SDPO Kangan at Govt. Primary School Kachanambal in which NOKs of J&K Police Martyrs, Police officers, officials of Forest Department & School Students participated.
At Govt. Boys High School Chount-Waliwar & Govt. Middle School Repora, the Plantation drives were held during which different species of plants were planted. SP Hqrs Ganderbal Gh Hassan accompanied by DySP PC Ganderbal, other Police Officers, NOKs of Police Martyrs, officials of Sindh Forest Division Ganderbal and School students participated.
“The main aim behind such plantation drives is to get at least one tree planted in the name of J&K Police Martyrs and to memorize their sacrifices in line of duty”, reads a police statement issued here on Monday. The Statement also said that to promote awareness, importance and community engagement in understanding environmental ethics and role of Police and Public in upliftment of nation and natural resources.
