Rashmi Also Meets Representatives Of Political Parties, Commends Efforts Of Distt Admin In Fostering Democratic Participation
Pulwama: Commissioner Secretary Hospitality and Protocol, Dr.Rashmi Singh on Saturday visited Pulwama and reviewed the progress on 2nd Special Summary Revision (SSR) of Photo Electoral Rolls (PERs) in the district.
Dr.Rashmi, who is also the Electoral Roll observer for district Pulwama, during her visit conducted a comprehensive meeting with the Electoral Registration Officers (EROs) and Assistant Electoral Registration Officers (AEROs).
District Election Officer Pulwama, Dr.BasharatQayoom, during the meeting provided a detailed briefing outlining the progress and key aspects of the revision process.
In addition to the meeting, Commissioner Secretary also met with representatives of various political parties to ensure their involvement and address any concerns regarding the ongoing revision.
Later, Dr.Rashmi Singh visited Government Higher Secondary School (GHSS) Pulwama to take part in the Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) program. The program featured an essay competition, a painting competition, and various awareness initiatives aimed at enhancing electoral literacy and participation.
In her address on the occasion, Commissioner Secretary emphasized the importance of ensuring no eligible voter is left behind, highlighting that the gender ratio in the district is commendable. She remarked that the focus is on achieving full saturation of eligible voters, aligning with the Election Commission of India’s (ECI) guidelines in both letter and spirit.
She noted the historic voter turnout, in 2024 LokSabha elections. Praising the achievements of the District during the last election, she emphasized the role of participation in strengthening democratic rights and values.
Dr.Rashmi Singh also urged representatives of political parties to play their role actively in ongoing Special Summary Revision so that no eligible elector is left out.
On this occasion, Dr.Rashmi Singh administered pledge and distributed certificates among the position holders in the essay competition, painting competition, and singing competition, encouraging continued engagement and participation in the democratic process.

Anantnag: Commissioner Secretary, Hospitality and Protocol, Dr.Rashmi Singh, who is also the Electoral Roll observer for district Anantnag visited here on Saturday to review the progress of the ongoing 2nd Special Summary Revision of Photo Electoral Rolls-2024.
During her visit, Dr.Rashmi Singh was briefed by District Election Officer (DEO) Anantnag, SF Hamid, on the progress of the revision process.
Commissioner Secretary visited GDC Women Anantnag to participate in various awareness initiatives designed to boost electoral literacy and participation.
She stressed the importance of ensuring that no eligible voter is overlooked and commended the district for its commendable progress so far.
Commissioner Secretary emphasised the need for achieving full saturation of eligible voters in line with ECI guidelines.
She also noted the historic voter turnout in the 2024 LokSabha elections, attributing it to the district’s efforts in promoting democratic engagement.
Notably, the Special Summary Revision which was ordered by the Election Commission wilI conclude in August 2024.
