Srinagar: Taking a jibe at MoS Home Hansraj Ahir over his comment that Pakistan Administered Kashmir (PaK) is part of India according to Instrument of Accession, former chief minister Omar Abdullah asked what about the part guaranteeing the state’s Autonomy.
Friday Abdullah, who is the working president of National Conference (NC), further said that the Instrument of Accession that made J&K a part of the Union of India kept all powers with the state barring Currency, Communication, Defence and Foreign Affairs.
“I love how when it suits them they quote the Instrument of Accession signed by the Maharaja. What about the part guaranteeing J&K’s autonomy?” Friday Abdullah wrote on micro-blogging site Twitter.
“This Instrument of Accession that made J&K a part of the Union kept ALL powers with the state baring Currency/Communication/Defence/Foreign Affairs,” he said.
The NC working president said, “You can’t pick the parts of the Instrument of Accession that suit the politics of the BJP while conveniently abrogating responsibility for the rest.”
Friday Abdullah was reacting to Friday Ahir statement that PaK is part of India as per agreement made by Maharaja Hari Singh, but it has been under Pakistani occupation.
