Jammu : Police on Wednesday said that it has registered a case (FIR No. 40/2024) at Police Station Arnia under Section 109 BNS, following the brutal assault on Jagdish Raj S/o ManoharLal R/o Pindi Sarochan who later on succumbed to his injuries while receiving treatment.
In a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters Jammu Police said that the on Wednesday after diligent efforts, Arnia Police arrested the fourth accused identified as Sohan Lal S/o Prakash Chand R/o Pindi Sarochan, adding there in that earlier the three other suspects, identified as Jagmohan S/o Prakash Chand; Ashu Devi W/o Jagmohan and Gara Ram S/o Jagmohan, all from PindiSarochan, had been apprehended.
Stating that the case was initially investigated under Section 109 BNS but has since been escalated, invoking Section 103 BNS, Police in its statement further said that the investigation is going on and the local community has expressed satisfaction with the police’s prompt actions in apprehending the accused involved in this murder case.
Police in its statement further said that it has already invoked section 103 BNS in the instant case during the investigation, adding therein that earlier investigation of the case was undergoing under section 109 BNS, Stating therein further more that investigation of the case is underway and four accused involved in the said case have been booked now.
In the concluding para of its above quoted statement Police said that locals of the area have shown satisfaction with the investigation of the case and have applauded the efforts of Jammu Police in making serious efforts by timely arresting the accused involved in the said murder case.
