Srinagar : Private School stakeholders in cooperation with administration has embarked on a major structural reform program in private schools with an aim to ensure quality education to students. In this connection a high level meeting was held with Principal Secretary Education Alok Kumar, Chairman JKBOSE Dr Parikshit Singh Manhas, Director Education Kashmir Tassaduq Hussain, Director Education Jammu Ashok Kumar, Secretary JKBOSE Manisha Sarin and other officers.
From private schools the meeting was attended by Vijay Dhar, President PSAJK G N Var, Chairman JKPSA Kamal Gupta, President JKPSCC Rameshwar Manhas, President JKPSA Ajay Gupta, Patron UPSCC Dr C L Vishen, President UPSCC Showkat Chowdhary, President FOURI G S Charak, President Private Schools Social Group Rajeev Slathia, Vice President JKPSCC & BDC Sanjeet Sharma, Balkaran Singh, Sanjeet Kumar, Mahi Paul Sharma, Suminder Singh. A detailed and thoughtful discussion was held on various issues faced by private schools. The Principal Secretary attentively listened to the concerns presented, grasped the issues firsthand, and sought immediate input from subordinate officers. The Principal Secretary issued several directives on critical matters, including pollution certificates, chemical certificates, and traffic NOCs.
The meeting was called to address and deliberate on the challenges encountered by private schools. Specific instructions were issued to issue the minutes of the meeting. The meeting lasted for several hours as the Principal Secretary insisted on listening every private school owner. He assured ease of doing business for which appropriate reforms will be implemented strictly. He called on the private schools to provide quality education and from the government side all of their genuine issues will be resolved soon. Both the parties agreed to work in cooperative spirit so that private schools get all possible administrative support in their working and in turn private schools will work overtime to improve quality education.
