Srinagar : A meeting of all local heads of various departments was convened and chaired by the Chairperson of J&K Waqf Board Dr Syed Darakhshan Andrabi on Tuesday to access the development activities and implementation of centrally sponsored schemes in the tribal area of Gurez. Besides, all heads of departments and the designated representatives from various offices participated in the meeting. The former legislator Faqir Mohammad Khan & DDC representative Aijaz Khan we’re also present.
Dr Andrabi sought details about the progress in different developmental works and also assessed the facilities provided to the people. She also learnt about the implementation of centrally sponsored schemes and other welfare programs of central government & J&K administration.
On this occasion, Dr Darakhshan stressed upon the departmental heads to ensure that the people don’t feel difficulty in approaching to the government offices for redressal of their problems.
“The tribal population of J&K got many benefits and facilities after the implementation of central tribal welfare laws and programs and it was our collective responsibility to facilitate every illegible person to benifit properly. As envisioned by the PM, we have to take the welfare systems to the doorsteps of every citizen. The LG administration has prioritised the tribal welfare in J&K”, said Andrabi.
She stressed upon the government servants working in this remote area to ensure punctuality and dedication in serving the people in their border valley as the geography poses many challenges to the people here.
“The holistic environment friendly development of these areas is our shared responsibility and we need to rededicate ourselves to the service of these peace loving and hardworking people so that their lives are improved and ease of living for all is guaranteed.
