No significant weather activity in Jammu & Kashmir till July 31: MeT

Srinagar, July 22: Meteorological Department has predicted no significant weather activity across Jammu and Kashmir till July 31.

It said hot and humid weather conditions in J&K to prevail till July 26.

From July 22nd to 26th there will be mainly clear to partly cloudy with brief spells of rain and thundershower at isolated to scattered places of Kashmir division and scattered to fairly widespread places of Jammu division, a MeT official said.

He said from July 27th to 28th party to generally cloudy with intermittent spells of light to moderate rain & thundershower likely take place at many places in Jammu and Kashmir.

From July 29th to 31st there is a possibility of spell of rain & thundershower at isolated to scattered places of Jammu and Kashmir, the official said.

The official, while issuing advisory said that intense showers for brief period with possibility of landslides, mudslides and shooting stones over few vulnerable places of Jammu division.

He continued that hot and humid weather conditions to prevail till July 26th in Jammu & Kashmir.
