Jammu : Police on Saturday daid that in a crackdown on illegal mining in South Zone of District Jammu Police seized five vehicles.

In an operation carried out at different locations in South Zone of District Jammu, Police Post Phallain Mandal under Sub Inspector Harish Chander detained five tractor trollies loaded with sand seized under illegal mining, adding therein that
in all, five vehicles were seized in jurisdiction of Police Station Satwari of South Zone.
Stating that after detaining the said vehicles the District Mining Officer was informed for necessary legal actions, Police in the concluding para of its above quoted statement reiterated its commitment to protect the public property and eradicate the menace illegal mining in the area.
