G’bal: Recently a post went viral on social media in which the driver of a Mini-bus bearing registration number JK01H-0959 plying on route from Kangan to Hazratbal was seen misbehaving with passengers, after which the passengers & general public appealed ARTO to look into the matter.
Assistant Regional Transport Ganderbal Wajhat Qayooum today took the matter very seriously and a swift action was taken against driver, the vehicle has been seized at ARTO office Ganderbal for offence of misbehaving with passengers which is grave contravention of Motor Vehicle act. However, the proceedings have been initiated for suspension of driving license of the driver and route permit as well. ARTO warned the Drivers to strictly adhere with the rules and regulations of MVA. He also added that the strict action would be taken against the defaulters for any violation of any provisions of MVA. It’s pertinent to mention here ARTO Ganderbal tracked the events on Social Media and took prompt action against the grievance
