Srinagar: A resident of Uri in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Tuesday claimed that one of the two “infiltrators” that army claimed to have killed in a recent infiltration bid was his uncle.
Mehmood Charra, a resident of Kamalkote, said that one of the two persons killed by army “in an infiltration bid” in Dulanja near the Line of Control (LoC) in Uri on Sunday “is his uncle Moazum Din Charra who had migrated to Muzafarabad along with his family in 1990.” He said that his uncle had migrated along with his brother in the year 1990. “We received an information from his wife and daughter that Moazum has been killed on the border. They urged us to bury him in our ancestral graveyard,” he said. The two slain persons have been buried in a graveyard at Uri.
