Srinagar: Chairman of Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) Muhammad Yasin Malik Tuesday said Kashmiris are being ‘brutalized, terrorized’ and are passing through a tough time.
“Instead of issuing statements that may create confusion among the ranks and files of Kashmiris, it is prudent to highlight the miseries of Kashmiris across the globe,” Reacting to a recent statement on independence of Kashmir by Pakistani Prime Minister Shahid Khanqan Abbasi Malik said that from last 70 years Kashmiri people are rendering valuable sacrifices for their right of self determination and freedom and have sacrificed lakhs of young and old for achieving this sacred goal.
He said that if one only takes note of last one year, thousands of Kashmiris have been killed, maimed and injured by Indian bullets, pellets, shells and other oppressive measures. “Thousands are languishing in jails and incarceration centers and no one seems to pay any heed towards these miseries,” he said.
“Thousands of our young have been blinded during these days and number of those injured is much beyond this,” he said.
Malik said that Indian rulers want to defeat Kashmiris by finishing their resistance and for achieving this ugly goal they have started a new oppressive campaign of NIA, ED terror. “Many resistance leaders and even kith and kin of many others have been incarcerated in Delhi Jails,” he said.
“In these circumstances any statement that may create confusion among the ranks and files of Kashmiris is not advisable and should be avoided in any case. Instead of issuing controversial statements, Pakistani leadership needs to enhance its efforts in highlighting the miseries of Kashmiri people and bring forth the gross human rights violations that are continuing in Jammu Kashmir,” he said.
Meanwhile, Enforcement Directorate notice has been delivered Tuesday to Malik by post Tuesday.
It is worth to note that this notice before being delivered to JKLF chairman was issued to media many days before.
