Jammu: In response to a distressing video circulating on social media, Jammu Police swiftly took action against the perpetrators involved in an assault on an elderly woman. The incident, captured in a viral video, depicted Prabhleen Singh, identified as S/o Tarlok Singh from Lane No.7 Digiana, Jammu, along with others, assaulting the elderly lady.
Police Station RS PURA immediately registered a case under FIR No. 130 U/S 341/323/504/506/34 IPC upon receiving the video. The accused, Prabhleen Singh, was promptly arrested and is currently in police custody. The investigation into the matter is actively ongoing.
“We are committed to ensuring justice for the victim,” stated a senior police official, emphasizing the seriousness with which such incidents are being handled. The police have urged the public to use social media responsibly and to report any incidents of violence promptly to law enforcement authorities.
