Jammu : In a drive against illegal mining and to tighten the noose against violators, Jammu Police has initiated strict action against criminals involved in illegal mining and exploiting public resources.
A police spokesman said that in an operation carried out at various locations in the South Zone of District Jammu, the PP Belicharana unit detained two dumpers and a tractor trolley loaded with sand, seizing them for illegal mining.
“In total, three vehicles were seized within the jurisdiction of PS Satwari in the South Zone by the JKP, he said.
Following the detention of these vehicles, the District Mining Officer was informed for necessary legal actions.
Meanwhile Jammu Police is committed to protecting public property and eradicating the menace of illegal mining in the area.
