Charge sheet produce in Bemina militant attack case before NIA court: Police

Srinagar: Police in Srinagar on Monday produced chargesheet in case FIR No.112/2023 under Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act registered in Police Station Bemina before Court of Special Judge (NIA Court) in Srinagar.
In a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters Srinagar Police said that the Special Investigation Team (SIT) of Srinagar Police produced the charge sheet in NIA Court against four accused involved in the militant attack in Hamdaniya Colony, Bemina that happenedin December 2023 in which one police constable of J&K Police was killed.
Police in its statement further said that four accused were identified as Mehnan Khan R/o Syedpora Khawajapora, Rainawari, Imtiyaz Ahmad Khanday @ Raju R/o Hamdaniya Colony Bemina, Danish Ahmad Malla R/o Hamdaniya Colony Bemina and Arjumand Gulzar @ Hamza Burhan R/o Kharbatpora Ratnipora Pulwama, A/P Pakistan.
Stating that during investigation the said three accused were working as militant associates for the active militant namely Arjumand Gulzar @ Hamza as they had obtained arms and ammunition through a well-knit criminal conspiracy aimed at targeted killing of the cop, Police in its statement further said that the three accused were arrested by Srinagar Police and fourth accused namely Arjumand @ Hamza is affiliated with Al Badr militant outfir.
In the concluding para of its above quoted statement Police said that it has also initiated proceedings to forfeit and attach properties and assets of the arrested accused accrued through illegal means, under relevant provisions of UAP Act.
