Srinagar: In the ongoing Sports Festival organized by Jammu and Kashmir Police in Ganderbal, Football, Volleyball and Badminton matches were played on the third day at Sainik School Manasbal and Government College of Physical Education premises.
In Football, three matches were played between FC Kangan Vs FC Arampora, FC Soccor Star Vs FC Chekpora and FC Lar VS FC Rahima. These matches were won by FC Arampora (penalty shootout by 7-5), FC Soccor Star (2-0) and FC Lar (2-1) respectively.
Four matches of Volleyball were played between VB Nagbal Vs Pathan Warriors, VB College Guys Kachan Vs VB Club Pandach, VB Club Dreamland Vs VB Club Arch and Maqsood Club Khurhama Vs VB Club Kangan. These matches were won by Pathan Warriors (2-0), College Guys Kachan, VB Dreamland (2-0) and Maqsood Club (2-0) respectively.
The Quarter and Semi-final stages in Badminton Men-Singles segment were held in Government College of Physical Education, Ganderbal premises. The Badminton semi finals were played between M. Rafiq Vs Ibrahim Qureshi and M. Amin Vs Amir Bashir. M.Rafiq won the match in straight sets by 2-0 and Amir Bashir won the match by 2-1.
