Anantnag : The Drug Control Department (DCD) Anantnag on Tuesday conducted a drive to verify the implementation of mandatory CCTV and computerized billing systems (CBS) in medical shops within the district.
During the drive, the team inspected various pharmacies for adherence to regulations.
The inspections encompassed both private medical establishments and establishments within healthcare facilities. Notably, Jan Aushadhi store situated inside the premises of GMC Anantnag, along with the GMC’s own dispensary/drug store, were included in the drive.
All inspected pharmacies were found to have installed CCTV and CBS systems and were also found issuing invoices as per the norms and standards. Additionally, 20 drug samples from Jan Aushadhi store inside GMC Anantnag were lifted for testing and analysis purposes. CCTV footage of various pharmacies was also reviewed and found satisfactory.
The Drug Control Department Anantnag emphasized that such drives will continue within the district until satisfactory results are achieved. This on-going monitoring ensures the proper functioning of these critical systems, promoting transparency and accountability in the sale of medicines.
