Udhampur: The District Youth Services and Sports Department Udhampur, inaugurated the much-anticipated District-level Inter-School/ Inter Zonal boys Tournament at Subhash Stadium, here on Friday.
The tournament witnessed the enthusiastic participation of over 300 boys, competing in chess, table tennis, and football.
Joginder Singh, SSP, graced the event as the Chief Guest. He was accompanied by Dy. SP HQ Parhlad Singh, SHO UdhampurRaghubir Singh, Chowki Officer GhordiManmeet Singh and other distinguished officials.
SSP officially declared the tournament open with an inspiring speech, urging students and participants to actively engage in such sporting events for their holistic development.
After the inauguration, DYSSO RomeshChander Mishra honoured the Chief Guest and expressed profound gratitude for his presence and support. Mishra also lauded his dedicated team for cultivating an environment that saw 124 participants compete in national-level tournaments last year. The office staff including Anita Goswami, SomDevKhajuria, Ramesh Chander, Sanjeev Kumar, Vikas Sharma, JatinSethi, Karun Magotra, Abdul Qadir, SanjeevKhajuria and Meenakshi Sharma contributed to the event’s success.
The event was held under the aegis of Director YS&S, Subash ChanderChibber and under the chairmanship of SaloniRai Deputy Commissioner and the meticulous supervision of DYSSO Udhampur Romesh Chander Mishra.
