A large number of pilgrims and visitors arrived at Sar Dabbar in Tehsil Moungri, Udhampur District, on the first day of the mela. The pilgrims and natives visited the Shiv Parvati Cave Shrine to seek blessings of Lord Shiva and Maa Parvati.

Numerous temporary sweet and toy shops, along with other eateries set up by locals and outside vendors were a major attraction for the public visiting the mela site.
The District Administration has made adequate arrangements for security, transport, medical care, drinking water, and power supply arrangements for the mela.
Different sports activities were also organized by the Department of Youth Services and Sports, Udhampur.
Local artists, including students from different educational institutions, presented scintillating cultural performances on the first day, which were highly appreciated by all.
During the mela, Central Bureau of Communication, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India, Field Office organised Mini Integrated Communication and Outreach Programme on the sidelines of Annual Shiv Parvati Mela at Sar Dabbar Moungri.
